During the 2018 MLB season, I worked as a game presentation intern for the Pittsburgh Pirates. I was responsible for researching and compiling a variety of MLB stats such as heatmaps, contact %'s, pitch types, and exit velocity in Microsoft Excel to create graphics to be displayed on the PNC Park scoreboard during all Pittsburgh Pirates games. I also logged all the necessary information for the pre-game loops (team records, splits, leaders) as well as worked as the Main Scoreboard GFX Editor during most home games in charge of updating in-game content. This position opened my eyes to a new broadcasting perspective as well introduced me to a variety of equipment used for in-game entertainment. For examples of my work, click the tab below!

WQED-TV PITTSBURGH
Broadcast Intern
During my time as a broadcast intern for WQED, my role was focused on content-gathering for two webcasts featured on iQ:Smartparent, an Emmy-Award-winning program that focuses on parenting in the digital age. In the short time I worked at WQED, I had the privilege of helping produce content for the nationally televised webseries by researching factoids, gathering reliable resources, soliciting social media questions, and creating a package to be aired during the show. I also experienced first-hand the complete production process from start to finish of the webcasts and even jumped on headset to produce a portion of the live show. U-VIEW TELEVISION
Co-Host, Co-Producer & Crew
I was a member of U-View Television, Point Park University's student-run television station, all four years of my undergrad. For a year-and-a-half, I served as the Station Manager, responsible for overlooking and communicating all the ins-and-outs of U-View. During that time, I was also the co-host and co-producer of Pioneer Sideline, U-View's longest-running sports show. For each show, I was responsible for writing the script, creating the rundown, and hosting the show, which all have helped improve my broadcast writing skills as well as my on-camera performance in sports reporting. Additionally, I have worked with a variety of broadcast equipment on other shows such as cameras, audio, KiPro, teleprompter, etc. to help ensure a smooth show. POINT PARK SPORTS NETWORK
Color Commentator & Crew
The Point Park Sports Network is a live-stream online broadcast the covers many of Point Park 17 varsity sports. I was a part of the Point Park Sports Network for two years and during that time, I covered a variety of sports for Point Park. Most recently, I worked as a color commentator for the Point Park Women's Basketball Team and also ran the main play-by-play camera for the men's games. Last spring, I ran camera again for most of the Point Park baseball games. Even though the operation was done on a smaller scale, this work enhanced my communication skills as a sports analyst and ability to follow a variety of sports as a camera operator.
